Celebrities in the country on Wednesday observed the National Day of Fasting and Prayer (NDFP) with a 12-hour prayer to seek the face of God in combating Coronavirus from the country.
Among them were radio personalities, online influencers, comedians, actors and musicians including Selina Boateng, Hannah Marfo, Joe Mettle, Diana Hamilton, Empress Gifty and Strongman among others.
They joined pastors and government officials to pray on behalf of the nation, while calling on God to protect the land and save it from destruction.
Their prayer was centred on miracle, they asked God to Wipeout any form of evil which was hindering the country’s development and offer healing to the country.
Gospel Musician, Joe Mettle and his followers who stood on Psalm 143:1-2 to pray said, “hear my prayer, O Lord give ear to my supplication: in thy faithfulness answer and in thy righteousness. And enter not into judgement with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified.”
Diana Hamilton also delivered powerful prayers together with her fans at a prayer session in an online campaign that encouraged fans to video themselves while praying for the nation.
She noted that sorrow only endures in the night but joy comes in the morning, hence insisted that the sorrows the nation was encountering would not endure but the light of miracle would spark to foster change and development.
Elsewhere, Strongman, who is a rapper also took to his Instagram page to climax the prayer with words of inspiration to revive the spirit of the country.
Currently the nation has recorded 195 case with five deaths and 31 recovery case, as part of the mitigation strategies, the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo declared NDFP to bring together all citizenry to evoke God’s healing on the land.
