‘Ghana wake up’ post did not put money in my pocket— Wendy Shay explains why she stopped
Afrobeat sensation, Wendy Shay has stated that the “Ghana Wake Up” post which she has been spearheading over a year ago on social media is no more relevant in the current situation.
She said she put a stop to it because she has channelled her energy into something worthwhile.

Speaking in an interview with the media, the Rufftown Records signee indicated that the reason she has stopped the “Ghana, wake up” advocacy was that she needed to channel her energy into more profitable ventures than such post.
“The thing is, I am busy making money. It is good for me to utter my opinion but I got to realise during the corona season that these trends don’t really bring money,” she said.
Wendy Shay however stated that although she stopped her post but the advocacy had torched a new light which had made Ghana awoken a bit.

For some time now, Wendy Shay has stopped posting with a trending phrase, “Ghana, wake up” on social media.
After she stopped many believed she complied with critics attack when she started the “Ghana, wake up” advocacy.
