Addiction to ‘porn’ destroyed my family— Kanye West reveals
Renowned rapper, Kanye West has revealed that his seven years marriage collapsed due to his addiction to pornographic content.
According to him, the provocative contents posted frequently on social media especially Instagram changed his behaviour to make him addictive and inturn destroyed his family.
Turning to his Instagram on Thursday, the Donda rapper admitted that he l0ved watching ×-rated films- a habit of his that he said, ended his marriage to model Kim Kardashian.
“Hollywood is a giant, brothel Pornography destroyed my family I deal with the addiction instagram promotes it Not gonna let it happen to Northy and Chicago,” he said.
In 2019, Kanye West in a media interview confessed that he broke his addiction to p0rn due to God and even released an album dubbed “Jesus is King” to glorify God for helping him to overcome his addiction.
“With God, I’ve been able to beat things that had a full control of me,” he explained.
Kanye West also disclosed that at age five he witnessed his father consuming such content, adding “Playboy was a gateway to a full-on pornography addiction.”
“My dad had a Playboy left out at age five. It has affected every choice I have made for the rest of my life from age five to now, where I’m having to kick the habit. And it just presents itself in the open, like it’s OK. And I stand up and say: it’s not OK,” West said.
Earlier in 2021, a source close to Kim explained that Kardashian “needed to end the marriage for the sake of her kids and her own sanity,” noting that, “Kim was really supportive of Kanye during his struggle with his mental health. But she knows she has to do the right thing for her kids.”
Kim filed for divorce from Kanye in February 2021 and in early this year she was legally declared single.
The couple began dating in 2011 and welcomed a daughter, North West, in June 2013. In May 2014, they tied the knot.
Since their wedding, Kim and Kanye have welcomed three more children and currently reside in Los Angeles, California.
On January 5, 2021, news broke that Kim and Kanye were ending their marriage and on February 19, 2021, Kim officially filed for divorce.
On March 2, 2022, Kim was declared legally single by the court amid divorce proceedings.
