My cigar-smoking attitude signifies my class and success— Sarkodie

Multi-award winning rapper, Sarkodie has called it a bluff organisations and individuals who describe his constant public display of Cigar as “unprofessional” and says it brands him as an artiste of “class.”

According to him, cigar represents class and success, hence the reason he constantly smoke it to symbolise his class and success in the industry.

Speaking in an interview with Hitz FM as monitored by SpotOnNews, Sarkodie stated that his mother was not happy with how he displayed cigars in photos and videos and advised him against it.

He said the calls on him to quit the act became intense when some health organisations released a joint statement asking him to apologise to the public for the misconduct.

According to him, there was nothing to apologise for since his intentions of showing cigars in the media and on his social platforms was different from how they have taken it.

Sarkodie admitted that smoking of cigar had health implications and was bad to smoke but to him cigars showed class and success and would be difficult for him to halt it display.

The rapper recently released an album dubbed “No Pressure” and has a controversial song title “Rollies and Cigars” which people believe projected the act of smoking.

The organisation also believed Sarkodie has endorsed the smoking of cigars and when Nothing is done against it he would promote smoking among his fans and youth.
