Multi award winning vocalist, Eya has frowned on the current manner of marriage in the country.

She stated that recent marriage was not appealing and did not in anyway attracts her to crave for one.

Efya stressed that today’s marriage loses love, affection and sacrifices that would be needed to sustain it.

According to her, recent form of marriage did not have the necessary requirements to stand the test of time, since it lacks dedication and commitment, thus deter her from accepting marriage proposals.

She revealed this during Question and Answer (Q&A) session with fans, friends and family, when explaining why she was still single.

It could be recalled from an earlier interview that after, the singer broke up with her boyfriend she never had interest in seeking comfort in any man.

She explained that she knew how to keep herself happy when she gets the urge for a company, without engaging any man.

The “Kingston child” hit maker indicated that being single did not restrain her from satisfying her desires once the drive comes.

Over a year of being single, she observed that she has learnt how to love herself and knew the best way to calm herself.

Efya insisted that she knew herself well, what she likes, how she feels and what is good to get herself happy without craving for a comfort in the arm of a man.

“As humans you can satisfy yourself well and make yourself happy when you want a partner. Humans hate pain so they do anything to avoid it,” she said.

Efya underscored the need for one to seek comfort in any uncomfortable situation, stressing that love “yourself because it will help you to control unnecessary desires.”

Born, Jane Fara Fauzzier Efia Boafowaa Yahaya Awindor, she has stunned fans and music lovers for over a decade with beautiful tunes and performances.

She is noted for songs like “the best in me, One of your own, Ankwadobi” among others.
