Shatta Wale launches ride hailing app ‘Shaxi’
Multiple Award winning Reggae Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale on Wednesday in Accra launched a ride hailing app “Shaxi,” to provide employment for the youth.
According to him, the vision behind ‘Shaxi’ a portmanteau of “Shatta” and ‘taxi’ is to create a sustainable business while providing hope Ghanaian youth.
Shatta Wale who gained support from colleague celebrities thanked citizenry for their unwavering support as well as team members that helped to bring the project to fruition.
“Everybody knows the love I have for the youth of Ghana and how I want to see them doing well. I want to see the boys on the streets move from being unemployed and get gainful employment,” he said.
The “One Don” hitmaker indicated that he had always wanted to share his blessings with humanity as well as making positive impact in the society.
“And that is how Shaxi dream was born. At the end of the day, we want to make an impact and leave our mark,” he added.
Shaxi, according to him was not just Shatta Wale and friends but a Ghanaian project for Ghanaians and urged the citizenry to embrace it as their own to “make Ghana better for us.”
