iShootMedia opens nomination for the 2023 Dangme Music Awards

The fourth edition of the “Dangme Music Awards” (DMA) has been opened for local musicians to file for nominations in order to make a case for themselves.

The award which is organised by iShootMedia aims at celebrating and recognising Dangme musicians to promote their works while connecting them to a wider market in building a network for investors to resource their crafts.

Speaking in an interview with SpotOnNews in Accra yesterday, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of iShootMedia, Otumfuo Ayiku Solomon popularly called Bra Levels explained that musicians who sang in Dangme language and have released smash hits from August 2022 to July 2023 were advised to make a case for themselves in this year’s edition.

The awards among other things, he said was to promote the Dangme language for the indigenes to project the Dangme culture.

Bra Levels noted that various talents in the industry including Disc Jockeys (DJs), music producers, video directors and musicians would be honoured for their unique contributions and role played in ensuring the development of Dangme culture.

He said the awards had 38 categories with other mouth watery prizes aside the silver plaque, bragging title and exposure which the winners would gain.

Bra Levels therefore encouraged talented Dangme musicians to file their nominations by obtaining a form from their website “www.dangmemusicaward.com”

He said musicians and key industry players should file their nominations before “Sunday July 3, 2023 in order to be part of the greatest award event which provides a bigger platform for Dangme musicians.”

“We also advise our talents to use DMA as the connecting button to make entertainment more attractive on Dangme land,” Bra Levels added.
