The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of 3Media Networks, Abdulai Abu Sadiq has apologised to Ghanaians and all people across the world who were streaming and watching the much anticipated awards night, “3Music Awards” on television and social media for the delay of the event.
According to him, the event experienced some technical hitches which resulted in the delay, hence expressed regret for the delay.
Mr Sadiq apologised when he was presenting the coveted awards of the night, the artiste of the year and said the incident was deeply regretted.
“It is only right that I apologise to you for the technical hitches that delay the start of the event. We are very sorry that inconvenience is deeply regretted,” he said.
Mr Sadiq also congratulated all the artistes who won and those who made it on the nomination lists.
He assured his outfit’s commitment to keep awarding deserving musicians, DJs, producers, legends and all the creative art stakeholders to propel the industry for it to develop in the right direction.
Celebrated under the theme: “More than Music,” the awards which was supposed to kick-starts on Saturday March 26 at 6:30 pm started off with a red carpets around 8:30pm and breaks off around 9:40pm.
Viewers who were watching on TV3 got bored when the live event was cut off and replaced with Music Music.
Those who were also streaming it online lashed out at the organisers, claiming the show was poorly managed and called on them to step up in dealing with such challenges.
However, the live telecast of the event returned at exactly 11:56pm after the almost three-hour hiatus break. The live telecast returned with an electric performance from Fast rising drill artiste, Black Sherif.
3Music Awards is a flagship awards event organised to celebrate and honour industrial giants, musicians and stakeholders in the creative art industry.
This year marks the fifth edition and it saw more than 10 industrial players winning the awards from a wide range of categories.
