Kuami Eugene is a chronic music plagiarised culprit: I won’t forgive him— Oduma Essan threatens Richie
Ghana-based Nigerian musician, Oduma Essan has condemned the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lynx Entertainment, Richie Mensah for claiming his lawsuit against Kuami Eugene was baseless and that the song in which he sued the Ghanaian rockstar for bears no similarity.
According to him, Richie is not a lawyer and has no legal background for him to determine that the two “showbody” songs have no similarity.

Expressing his displeasure in a media interview today after Richie’s speech, Oduma Essan indicated that Kuami Eugene had been a torn in many musicians flesh for consistently plagiarising their songs and said he would not tolerate such nuisance.
He claimed that after he released his showbody track Kuami Eugene also featured a renowned Nigerian musician on a same titled track to overshadow his own.
“The moment I released showbody, Kuami Eugene went my back to feature another Nigerian artiste on a same titled track. Now if you search for ‘showbody’ only Kuami Eugene’s own pops up,” Oduma Essan bemoaned.

He queried that which Ghanaian artiste has been fond of plagiarising others music if not for Kuami Eugene and condemned Richie, saying he had no right to defend the Ghanaian highlife musician for flouting copyright laws.

He however regretted that Kuami Eugene was using his fame to destroy other young artistes music through his consistent song plagiarism and cautioned him against it.
Oduma Essan had strong conviction that the lawsuit against the “Open Gate” hit maker would serve as deterrent to others.
The Ghana-based Nigerian musician recently sued Kuami Eugene, as part of the suit he was seeking damages worth Ghc 120,000 to cover the production of the song, video shoots and promotion cost.
Meanwhile, Richie has expressed dissatisfaction about the suit with an explanation that the songs bear no similarities.
